Who we are

Our values

Do the right thing

We hold “integrity” as a core value at Hardfin and expect everyone to do the right thing.

This is both in how our team members act as individuals and as a team. It's intentionally broad but deliberately subjective — team members uphold our values by doing what's right, in the best interests of our customers and our company.

Do the right thing
Respect your audience

We hold “communication” as a core value at Hardfin and expect everyone to respect your audience.

This means that our team members think about who their audience is, whether it's someone reading an email, attending a meeting, reviewing code, or even your future self reviewing your prior work! Respecting your audience means taking the appropriate amount of time to document and communicate clearly, takingthe communication burden on yourself to make it easy for both present and future readers.

Respect your audience
Seek to be better

We hold “feedback” as a core value at Hardfin and expect everyone to seek to be better.

This represents how our team members are constantly improving themselves and each other. Feedback is frequently sought, honestly given, and thoughtfully conveyed. It is also offered as much as possible and as immediately as possible, whether in the course of joint work or debriefing during a 1-1.

Seek to be better
Drive

We hold “ownership” as a core value at Hardfin and expect everyone to drive.

Here “drive” is primarily a verb, in that our team members are drivers, not passengers. Everyone needs to take initiative and contribute, whether or not they are specifically called on. In that spirit, “drive” is also a noun, as our team is very driven to achieve and succeed.
